Texas Performing Arts x Fusebox Residency

Gesel Mason Performance Projects is participating in a new pilot residency between Texas Performing Arts and Fusebox Festival. The first of its kind in Austin, the residency program is geared towards adventurous Austin-based artists who are pushing the boundaries of performance and on the cusp of new projects, as well as furthering the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the local performing arts community.

Story Circle - Austin

The culmination of Gesel Mason’s Texas Performing Arts/Fusebox Festival Residency included a series of video portraits of Black, female identifying Austin residents. Directed by Gesel Mason at Bass Concert Hall, these videos were recorded and edited by Maggie Bailey They were included in the five-hour ICOSA Gallery Performance on December 31st, 2020.
